The main aim of\nthe Academy is to promote and support film production in our country. Being a\nnon-governmental organization, it unites people with a significant contribution\nto cinematography, filmmaking and cinematography. The activity is aimed at\npresenting the rich Armenian heritage of the film and contributing to the\npresent-day promotion of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first director of the film studio was cinematographer Davit Muradyan from 2011 to 2016. Then, in 2016-2017, he was a member of the European Film Academy, who was later followed by film director Harutyun Khachatryan, and in February 2017 by film director Vigen Chaldranyan. In March 2019 Ruben Jaghinyan, a member of the International Academy of Television and Radio, was elected President of the National Film Academy. The Academy now has 30 constant members and six ruling members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Armenian National Film Academy carries out the exclusive Anahit\nNational Awards Ceremony. The Academy represents Armenian films at the world&#8217;s\nbest awards and film festivals, organizes seminars, symposiums and other events\naimed at promoting film production and development in Armenia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Armenian National Film Academy was founded in 2011.
